If you play online there is a creative server. You can get a unlimited resources and build whatever you want. Just pick a block, tool or whatever you want form your inventory and start some new building. That is a little boring but only factor here is your imagination. In survival mode you don't have any help. You must combine resources and made tools and other stuff. And when night come there is a creepy monsters which actually called Creepers and these things will kill you over night. So survival mode is really heavier for play but there is a some nice feeling which you must try.
